Best dog food for zu pup
I have two 2.5 month old cute zus, since I’m working 6 hours a day starting 4 am and I’ll be at home around 12nn. So I’m leaving them dog food in their feeding bowl in the morning. I’ve been feeding them alpo puppy dog food (beef&vegetable flavor) during breakfast and lunch time. Then during dinner time, I feed them canned meat dog food (meat&vegetable) mixed with table food. I don’t feed them foods with chicken, egg, corn and seafoods such as shrimps because I know it would cause them itch. But still I noticed that they’re scratching their thigh, neck, and head. I’m suspecting that they were having allergies. I just like to know if what’s the best food for my puppies. please help on this… thanks!

2.5 months is still pretty long and a lot of puppies are just naturally itchy.
If you are worried about allergies, check the packaging and buy food with very little or no preservatives in it and no added color.
We feed fresh dog roll (it is packaged in a sausage like shape and you dice it up) because it has zero preservatives or color and I have never had a problem.

Have you checked for flea's? Is there any hair loss? What kind of shampoo are you using and how often are you bathing them? Alpo is not my food of choice for any dog. Petsmart has Natural Balance and that is what I recommend for any dog. They have food that has a single carbohydrate, duck and potato, that is wonderful for dogs with allergies. They have completely grain free foods and that is what most dogs are allergic to.
I feed Natural Balance Ultra Premium for all ages from puppy to adult. One food for everyone and it is extremely well balanced and healthy.
Do not bathe your dogs too frequently because it will wash away the natural oils and make their skin flaky and itchy. Flea's are killed instantly with the blue Dawn liquid dish detergent. Then put a good conditioner on them like Mane and Tail. The above food also adds oil to their skin from the inside out due to having the Omega's in it.

They don't have any fleas,. Yeah there's hair loss with my other shih tzu pup but not that severe hair loss.. I bathe them twice a week! I'm using the Petpride shampoo and the other melon scented shampoo for dogs. So, So, how often should I bathe my puppies? And what shampoo should I use for my pup? How much is the petsmart dog food?

Of course it depends on the size dog food bag but from what I seen it is between 11.98 for the small bag to the 30 lb bag at $54.00.
Bathing twice a week is too often. You should only bathe them when they are dirty. It can be a month or more depending on where they play and what they get into.
If you get a good brand of shampoo, without detergent, you will not be so likely to wash away the oils. You can put a little shampoo in a glass or bottle and add water to make it last longer. It does not hurt anything to do this. I always dilute the shampoo and conditioner.
I use Isle Of Dogs shampoo. It is expensive, it is not in any stores but you can have it shipped to you. This will last you for years if you buy the big bottle, $25.00. A good shampoo will pay for itself by making your dog more comfortable.
There are good shampoos out there in the stores but stay away from the cheaper brands. You can also use Treseeme human shampoo. I know a few show people that use that. And that would be a cheaper solution. Again dilute it.
Your dog is going to have to have oil added to its food to cut down on the flaking and itching too. I think WalMart has Lambert Kay oil supplement and that is a wonderful brand. If not Petco and Petsmart will have something to add to the food for oil. If you get the Natural Balance dog food you won't have to buy the oil.
If you don't mind ordering from the internet go to PetEdge.com Wholesale prices on exclusive dog grooming and pet supplies They are the cheapest place that I have found and that is where I get 90% of my stuff.
