Michael Steele Just Revealed He's Pro-Choice
Q Are you saying you think women have the right to choose abortion?
A: Yeah. I mean, again, I think that's an individual choice.
    Q You do?
    A: Yeah. Absolutely.

    It's done. He's cooked.

Isn't that exactly what you guys wanted, the GOP to move toward the center? Nevertheless let's finish the quote...

Are you saying you don’t want to overturn Roe v. Wade?

I think Roe v. Wade—as a legal matter, Roe v. Wade was a wrongly decided matter.

Okay, but if you overturn Roe v. Wade, how do women have the choice you just said they should have?

The states should make that choice. That’s what the choice is. The individual choice rests in the states. Let them decide.

Yes but combine this with his past statements and it is not clear what his position is. He seems to be using a federalism state's rights argument in this case. But then he goes on to defend the Republican platform position . I support our platform and its call for a Human Life Amendment.

That of course would not be a federalist position in that it would not be a state's right to decide .

I think Steele is wasting time . As he tries to define himself he is letting the opportunity presented to the Republicans due to the Obama bungling machine to slip away .

I want to hear how Obama's policies will ruin the health care system, stifle business, run up our debt, raise our taxes, cause inflation, and endanger our national security... not Steele's positions on abortion or Rush Limbaugh .

Those are the issues that will rebuild a Republican base. In other words ;it's not about Steele . If he is using this position as a launching pad to an elective office he is not serving the party .

If he don't get it together his time will be short.

For once I agree with NK. Steele is toast. THe wrong guy for the job. Not because he may be pro-abortion, but because he is so undefined and undefinable. He's a wreck as GOP leader.

The head of the RNC is not about politcal philosophy. He should organize the party to win elections.

    Nah... there are better choices.

    Bobby Gindal
    Jim Demint
    John Cornyn
    Mitch McConnel
    David Vitter
    Mitt Romney
    Mitch Daniels
    Haley Barbour
    Rick Perry
Jeb Bush (Not because he's Bush's brother, but because he a major anti-tax governor, cutting taxes every year he was in office).

We need Rush right where he is, organizing the base and getting the word out.

Sean Hannity, on the other hand, would be a great GOP leader.
