    Kitchen sink root/dirt odor
My kitchen sink has a very strong root/dirt odor. Only comes around when it gets warmer. We have a new disposal. We have big trees near our house. I am wondering if the tree root is making the sink smell somehow. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

I am pretty sure it is not the tree that makes your sink smell...

Do you have Air Gap connected to dishwasher on top of the sink ?

I hate to say it but it can be bacteria growing in your under-sink pipes and in your garbage disposer. If you don't flush dirty dish-water with lots of water, food will start to rot emitting strong odor in the process.

Milo's correct! Forget the trees and think bacterial growth. Pour a 1/2 gallon of bleach down the trap and the other 1/2 gallon in the disposal and let set overnght. In the morning flush it out with a few tubs of hot water.. Now take a lemon and cut it into quarters and run it through your disposal. Smell better now? Good luck and thank you for rating my answer.
