    1 second. Once a divorce is final, it is final. You can literally get married in the next room (depending on how a courthouse is laid out)

    If it were me I would wait until all the paperwork has been filed and signed off by the judge. There have been cases where persons have had to go back so they could maintain a legal marriage.

    As soon as the divorce is final, that can depend on how the divorce is filed, but then I would hope from a moral side there is a longer waiting period

    Wait until you have the Final divorce paperwork signed by the Judge and the Court Clerk's Office has recorded it properly in the divorce matter. Depending on the Court and the Judge this could take up to a week or two to be signed and the Order entered into the system properly.

    Then go get your marriage license and get married.
