    Easy /Inexpensive Pond Cleaning
:confused:I have a water garden that is in a figure 8 pattern , it is 14 "s deep in the shallow end and 42 "s in the deep end . Every spring I have to get in the deep end with a 3 gallon bucket and clean out the mud and leaves . I have 6 koi fix in it, and it gets real dingy water when I stir it up. What is the fastest, easiest inexpensive way to clean the bottom out? Mud and leaves need to go. I never completely get all the dirt and leaves out after cleaning

We go to the deepest part of the pond and remove all rock and gravel in a 2" diameter circle. We place heavy duty sump pump on this spot and a discharge hose to the yard. Turn the pump on and start flushing everything towards the circle, remove plants and aquatic life first obviously. You may need to condition the water before returning plants and animals.
