    Confusedfemale
AC is blowing cold air but not much is coming out of vents
We have about a 20 year AC unit in condo. We have had problems with unit but nothing to were we need to replace it just yet. Still has about 5 years on it

About a couple times a week (just recently) our AC will be blowing out very cold air (depending on the thermo status) however it is barely blowing out the vents. We would reach to feel air and we can't feel much coming out.

Vent are cold to the touch.

Air is not circulating through out house.

    Suggestions?

    Thanks

The unit could be starting to freeze up and that will block the flow of cold air. This can be caused by a shortage of refrigerant or since the unit is 20 years old a partially restricted evaporator coil. Over the years dirt and debris gets past the furnace filter and sticks to the coil. When it builds up enough it can cause the problem you are having. Now I am sure you have already checked the air filter but if not that could also be the problem.
