I am trying to remember the name of a picture book I had as a child. I had the book either late 70s or early 80s.
It was a small book, may or may not have been accompanied by a read-along tape. Not to helpful but know you can guess the dimensions.
The story was about some creature(dragon, sea serpent, looks like pokemon) who lives in a world made of crystal? Glass? It finds a patch of dirt. It is strange to the creature. It shows a friend and a sprout or seed emerges. The creatures are scared. Eventually the sprout becomes a flower(rose?) and the light refracted from it makes the world a pretty pink... or SOMETHING like that.
