    Connecting 2 computers
    I have 2 xp computers I have one hooked up to the internet through a router how do I hook the other one using the same router to get the internet to work on that one to please be down to earth with your answers I am new to this

    If the new computer has an Ethernet card installed (network card), simply obtain a normal Ethernet cable (there are two types -- normal and crossover. If it doesn't say "crossover", it's normal) and plug one end into the router and the other end the computer's Ethernet port. It's the only port it will fit into. The Modem port looks similar, but it's smaller. If the new computer is configured as it is by default, it should work almost immediately. Launch your Internet browser and surf.

    You can connect your computer with router by cat 5 cable or standard network cable connect one end to the router another one second computer's Ethernet port.
