Maytag refrigerator rsd2200d not cooling properly
Need help trouble shooting repairs for my refrigerator. It is frosted up on the back panel of freezer side I have replaced the heating elements before for this problem. Is there anything else I should be looking for before I go for the elements again?

The defrost circuit consists of the heaters, defrost bimetal/defrost termination thermostat located in the compartment with the heaters and the defrost timmer.

I found out long ago that you are better off replacing all 3 when performing service to prevent call backs. This was done since it cost my business much biz for call backs since we did not charge for 30 days when having to go back to replace other parts.

Thanks for the info. The heaters are defective, one is actually broken. I have ondered parts about 3 weeks away, how long before the evaporators freeze off again without the heaters operating?

That depends upon how many door openings and closings and the amount of moisture in the air and in items you put in the freezer or refrigerator. It is hard to guess but most units will frost over in 2 or 3 days.
