First ask your adoptive parents. They might be able to help you get more info. Otherwise find out the adoption agency your birth mother went through.

You will have to wait until you are 18 unless the adoption was open--in which case, you (or your parents) should already have information on her.

Remember--the reasons she chose adoption may mean that she might not WANT contact with you. Don't expect a joyful reunion--though it would be wonderful if it is!

Your first step is to talk to your adoptive parents about it. You will need as much information as you can get from them in order to have a successful search when you turn 18.
