Hot water heater shuts of 2-3 times a day (electric)
We are experiencing hot water heater shut off periodically during the day. Have to get up 1 hr early to turn on for shower. Water farthest away from heater is scalding hot. Thermostats are set at 125 but is much hotter. We have an instant hot attachment; however, even when it is unplugged, the problem still occurs. Anyone have a suggestion?

The first trhing I would check is the thermostats. If one of them keeps calling for heat until the water gets so hot it triggers the temperature cut out that would give you the problem that you have. Do you have to reset the red button to get power back? Let me know, Tom

Yes, I have to power up using the red reset button.

Replace both thermostats and get back to me with the results. Good luck, Tom
