    Inuslating rim joice
I live in centeral alberta. My house is about 20years old. The basement is unfinished. I would like to start finishing it. To start what is the proper way to insulate the rim joices before I put in the ceiling tile?

Most DIYers will have difficulty trying to use spray foam over head on the rim joist. If you look carefully at this video you will see they used what I recommend, unfaced batt insulation shoved up againist the rim. I cut a 2' length of R19 batt and fold it over in half, friction is usually all that's needed to hold it in place.
