    HI,

    My wife is on H4 status and has ITIN to file federal taxes.

    We have a confusion in using the ITIN for state tax filing.
    For filing state tax in "Spouse SSN"column can we use ITIN number?

    I hear from some people that ITIN is only for federal tax purpose...

    Request to help us on this clarification...

    You can use ITIN on the state return.
