How not to pay US taxes of a no tax foreign income
I'm a danish zitizen married to an american wife.
    I have a danish address.
I'm hired by a danish shipping company A.P. Moller Maersk.
My salaray goes to a danish bank
I'm a marine engineer hired under the so called danish DIS agreement - tax free income.
My tax free income is $54.000 a year.

    I'm a legal immigrant.
My wife and I have an american address.

I was told; that as long as I can prove that I pay taxes in the country the pay check comes from; I don't have to pay taxes.
The problem is that I don't pay taxes according to the danish DIS agreement between the shipping companies and government. No difference in me being in the states or in Denmark.

Is there anyway I can avoid paying US taxes of my foreign income of $54.000?

    IntlTax

As a U.S. resident, you are taxed in the U.S. on your worldwide income. You need to include this income on your U.S. tax return even though the money is paid to a Danish bank account and is tax free from a Danish perspective. You should also fill out Form TD F 90-22.1 and include the interest income from the Danish account on your U.S. tax return.
