I want to know how to protect myself financially from my spouse. He is terrible with money and has been racking up the bills. We have been living in diff. places since June of '08. I now have all of these creditors calling me about his bills. We have sep. bank accounts. I heard that you can put an ad in a newspaper and financially sep. yourself from a person, anybody know anything about this or what steps I have to take so that I am not responsible for his financial mess anymore?
