Hot water faucet in kitchen closes up.
    Hi there,
When I run my hot water tap in the kitchen it seems like once the hot water heats up, the pipe becomes constricted and the water flow stops and it makes a squeaking struggling sound. It has been a gradual problem, it used to do it just for a second and if I turned the tap off for a minute, the flow would return. Now it is becoming worse and we cannot run the hot water for longer than a couple of seconds. It seems fine everywhere else in the house, so is this just a problem with our fixture, or perhaps the pipe leading to it?
Any help would be much appreciated. Don't want to call in a plumber if we don't have to.

    Thank you, thank you,
    Theresa:)

Single handle or two handle faucet? Sounds like a cartridge problem. or as you mentioned, a supply problem.

It is a single handed faucet, up for hot, down for cold. Is the cartridge a big deal to fix or something I can easily do myself?
    Thank you so much!
