:(My Kenmore extra large washer started over flowing them 2-inch standpipe recently. I have read the answers posted here and snaked most of the plumbing. I can't get a drain auger through the J-trap attached to the standpipe; however I ran the power auger through the down stream kitchen sink drain pipes several feet in to the collector line to ensure no blockage. I have not augured the PVC pipe from the house to the sewer.

My most recent attempt to cure the problem was to insert an inflatable bladder into the 2-inch standpipe and rum the hose around 5 minutes. This provided initial relief, but it was short lived. I filled the washer to max capacity with no clothes and neither the initial wash drain or the rinse cycle causes an over flow. Later while washing a medium sized load, the pipe overflowed on drain cycle only. Most of the overflow occurs during the rinse cycle.

The drain hose is U-shaped. I am considering making a solid connection from the drain hose to the 2 inch PVC stain pipe (it is slush with the washer box bottom) or glue a 2 inch coupling to the stand pipe. Both ideas would require removing the box and risking fresh water leaks. The overflow seems to be less than a quarter inch. We repeatedly open the washer lid to prevent overflow when the water rises in the standpipe.

Any ideas?

If all drains have been cleared, then it sounds like you may have a lack of vent for washer drain.

There is a vent access behind the dryer, I can't get a snake to turn the 90 degree turn. I will check it from the roof. This is a new problem, no overflow for 20 years until recently.
Any recommendations on making a solid connection to the drain pipe? Thanks
