This morning while conducting laundry the water stopped running. I had went down stairs and had replaced the pressure switch but this is still not the problem... the pressure switch when in the closed position sparks but the pump does not turn on... whats wrong?

My water was working just fine , I shut off the outside spicket and when I turned it on no water?what do I do

Jsb, what type pump do you have? Above ground, or submersible. Check voltage at in and out contacts on pressure switch to make sure the pump is getting power. Need more info.
