I have a harbor breeze triton ceiling fan. The remote(transmitter) will dim the light but not turn completely off plus fan will not work at all. Changed 9v battery but still the same.

Try a different dip switch setting on both fan and remote (make sure they match) but I doubt it will help. It could be the remote but I bet it is actually the receiver that has gone bad.
