    One Month Baby Spitting Up
Just wondering what I can do to get my baby to stop spitting up so much... he is on breast milk and formula (whatever I can't provide; I supplement). He is healthy, happy and gained all his weight back. Just he spits up and sometimes it is a lot and goes through his nose. I feed him and burp him and leave him levitated up for about 30 minutes before I lay him down (in case it's acid reflex). He is on Simulac Advanced (Iron Fortified). He is about 8 pounds now and on about 100 ml (60-100 ml's is breast milk) and I don't eat anything I shouldn't that I know would bother him.

    Advice please :)...

P.S. My daughter didn't spit up when she was little so this is new to me.

    Much appreciated.

He may just be a spitter. Many babies are, and unless they are having issues with weight gain or show signs of being in pain it likely bothers you more than him. The majority will outgrow it about midyear or so.
Medications are not necessary unless there is a concern with his weight gain due to lack of intake, or he seems to be in great discomfort from it.
His doctor may suggest a change in formula, but check first. Some can be easier on the stomach than others.
Other than that you are doing what you can... burp often during a feed and keep him upright for awhile afterwards. Be sure not to overfeed him... avoid trying to get him to take the very late half ounce, for example, if he shows signs of being done. Overfeeding will also lead to more spit-ups.
