Why is the pressure in my bladder tank changing
Why is the pressure in my bladder tank changing? ICHECKED IT THE OTHER DAY and it was @ 43.5 psi, I left out some air to bring it down to 28 psi and I just checked it again and it read 35.5 psi.

When you checked the bladder tank pressure did you shut the power off and drain the system down? If not you were getting a false reading. Set the pressure again. To set the air pressure in a bladder tank, look at the cut-in pressure on your pressure switch. Now drain the line down with the pump off. When there is no more water coming out of the hose bib that you drained the system down with set the pressure in the bladder tank at 2 lbs. below the cut-in pressure. Check it with a tire gage. If your pressure control is set to come on at 30 PSI and go off at 50 PSI then your gage should read 28 PSI. Hope this helps and thank you for rating my reply.

SB is entirely correct. I would add this. Once the system gets up to pressure, your bladder tank will always have the same pressure shown by the pressure gauge. Why? Because it's the air at the top of the tank that is developing the pressure to begin with. So, once you drain the tank and set the pressure to, for instance, 28#, when the pump comes on, it won't read 28# again after that. It will go up and down as the tank fills, or empties, with water.
