I have two identical ceiling fans in one room. One of them will not operate the light with the remote. For some reason it goes on & off on it's own. Can something in the neighborhood operate the light kit? The fan will work on the remote. I have changed bulbs already. This is making me crazy. Thanks in advance. Gail

Yes it can. Change the dip switches in the fan to match the ones in the working fan/remote, then try that remote on both fans, tell us if everything works as it should.
