My wife got sued by Asset Acceptance Management LLC she never got served papers so she didn't know about a court date until a final judgement was put against her.
I don't know what to do I was out of work 6 months had to take a low paying job am in loss mitigation with the mortgage company. My wife has not worked in 5 years cause of illness. How will this affect them being able to garnish my wages,bank account there are a couple more debt collectors out there and Im barely able to pay electric and normal expenses should we file chapter 7 (its in Pasco County Florida) the debt amount after interest and lawyer fees is over $9000 and one of the other medical bills (cause no medical) is $20000
Any help would be appreciated

Go to the court and request a copy of the judgment file, see if they ever service papers, If not hire a attorney to vacate the judgment for lack of proper service.
