I am currently in US working for a small IT company (2001-till date). I am planning to relocate to India next year. I would like to explore the option of continuing to work for the present employer from India as a consultant. I am an Indian citizen, have EAD.
I would appreciate it if someone can answer the following questions:

1. How would the US employer pay me?
2. What taxes would I need to pay?

For the year, you leave the U.S. you may have to report your income in India as well in the U.S. to both the U.S. and India. It will depend upon the date you leave the U.S.
