    Evicting a person legally
I have a 20 yr. old son who was to stay with me 3months. He was to help with groceries, 200.00 rent a month. And his personals. Well its been almost a year and he does NOTHING. No help nothing. I've asked him to move out gave him in writing time to move and nothing. He says if you want me out get yourself a lawyer. Well my question what ARE my legal rights since this is MY HOME and he does nothing. There is no reason he can't be on his own he just chooses not to. Also a yr. ago he STOPPED paying ALL his bills and my phone rings off the hook for him. WHAT can I do before I go CRAZY??

    I need help ASAP!!

Go to your local housing court and find out the3 steps for eviction. I assume the agreement to pay $200/mth was verbal. But a verbal agreement is still enforceable.

The written notice you gave him, how long did you give him to get out? If you gave him 30 days or more, then you have probably fulfilled the first step. So your next step is to go to court and request an eviction order. A hearing will be held and you should be granted an eviction order. If he still refuses to move, you will need to hire a sheriff to physically remove him.
