Daugther returning to live with Mother
My daughter , now 16, went to live with her dad when she was 13. They live in Texas and I live in South Carolina. We have joint custody and he has guardianship. What steps do I need to take to transfer guardianship to myself?

Also the next big question is money. We have two childrent together but he has never had any relationship with our son. The son is 12 and his dad has spoken to him maybe a dozen times in as many years. We had a child support order when I had both children living with me. When he got my daughter to move in with him we had the order support suspended. How difficult would it be to have it un-suspended if you can even do that or do I need to do something more involved. Not a lot of money here for attorneys, hoping for good advice.

    Thanks in advance.

There has been a major change in custody so your allowed to file for support again based on the changes. There might be a timeline but so long as the court that handles it is near you that held it before then you can return there. If it was a Texas court then you have to wait for jurisdiction to come to you. Might be 6 months before you could apply.
