Is the temp. gauge supposed to be at the half way point all the time on my 97 plymouth voyageur?

As long as it starts at the bottom (cold) and raises up - its fine.. the gauges with no numbers on them are not extremely accurate. They tell u if its cold... middle.. or too hot :)
