A few days ago I found water in the floor next to the A/C unit. When I opened the door and checked the A/C I found water drops on the coils and the pipes, they were dripping into the rim around the A/C. I thought the drain was stopped up but there is too much water dripping and I don't remember it doing that before. It has dripped a tall kitchen trash can full in 3 days plus some in the floor. The pipe that is supposed to be cold is cold but not real cold and the other is slightly warm. Why is there so much water and what could be wrong? It is still cooling but maybe not quiet as good as it should, it is hard to tell, we have been having a lot of hot weather lately. Thank you for any help you can give me.

Most ac-furnace units have a little pump on the floor to pump away condensation. Find it and see if it is plugged in or if the float is stuck.

Haven't had the time to check this out but now the A/C is not cooling as it should. Could it need freon? Thank you.

Check to make sure the outside A/C unit is running when the fan is on. The outside A/C unit is on a separate breaker from the thermostat/blower/furnace. Aside from the breaker, the is usually a fuse panel outside near the A/C unit.

I looked inside the A/C unit, everything is cased in, being a widow I don't know what to look for exactly and have no one else to. I threw the breakers and back on but it was still the same. A/C is all working but just not up to par and the fan is set on Auto but it is running constantly. Last night after the temp. dropped the fan finally cut off. And the condensation isn't so bad at night. This morn. While it is still cool it is rotating on and off as it should but when the temp. gets warmer it will not cool as it should and will run constantly with a lot of condensation. Last summer I had a new fan motor installed and it has been working great. Any more recommendations? Thank you.
