A car traveling at 40 m/s suddenly brakes at a uniform 8.0 m/s/s. A)Find the speed of the car 1.2 seconds after braking begings.
B)the distance the car has traveled in 1.2 seconds after it started braking.


Can someone help me answer these two problems. I know that u need a formula but I'm not sure which one to use.Please show the steps.Thank You a lot for helping out!!

Look, most of your posts are homework type problems. And while we will help here some with that, its just not good to have other people do it for you.

Better to try, come up with an answer, and then post. Especially in this section of physics... you really need to do the manipulations yourself so you'll be trained to do that on a test.

If you know the time of braking, and the rate at which you are slowing down, can you figure out the decrease in speed over that time. You HAVE to be able to do this kind of work. Take a shot and repost.
