Out of State College student confused on state taxes
Hello,
I am from Buffalo, NY but am currently going to college full time in PA. In 2008 I was employed at home and then when I went to college I got a job in PA. I have 3 w-2's (one from NY and 2 from PA). This is the first time I have ever filed state taxes and am not sure what to do. I recently finished and submitted my 1040EZ for federal taxes.
For NY, am I part time residence? Do I file the part year residence (IT-203) for NY?
For PA do I file anything at all (I had just recently acquired that job and the total on the w-2 is not substantial.)
Or am I PA resident now? (When getting my voting papers the representative told me to fill out a change of address form to my college residence, does that make me PA resident now? My parents still claim me as a dependent on their forms.)
Because I am a full time 18 year-old student, do I need to fill out any state tax forms at all?
If anyone can give me any answers at all I would greatly appreciate it. Not having any guidance when you are trying to file for the first time is extremely nerve racking.

And in case you are wondering, I did call NY state tax hot line and after waiting 30minutes on hold the woman hung up on me after I asked my questions (haha, I think it was an accident but it didn't help me at all)
