I owe $5000 to sams club in checks from 2006. I have paid $1000 of them some of them were on closed accounts and some have been paid or cleared through bannkruptcy. The dtectives are involved the checks are all under 300, I just want to make a payment arrangement with this manager, the detective said one you do this its civil and the manager seems to want his money.

What do you suggest

I am not sure you can clear a illegal activity ( bad check) though bankrupcty, you can list it but I am not sure it is allowed to be discharged, you need to talk to your attorney on that, and let them know it is a bad check, not a bad debt.

And also depends on how close the checks are together, I have seen the DA take several checks and put them together into one felony charge.
