House broken pet now peeing on floor
    Hello,

I have a 6 month old Weimaraner (Dexter) we've had him since he was 8 weeks old. He was house broken after having him for about a month and a half. He goes to the back door and will sit there till we let him out. However this past week he has been peeing on the carpet - not a lot just dribbling a little.

He did it this morning before I left for work - and he knows he is doing something wrong - cause after he did it (I had not seen it yet) he came over and was crouching by me and wanting attention. After the dribble on the carpet I put him outside and he peed again. I am confused with why he is all of a sudden doing this. Also my husband who had left about 15 minutes before me and put him outside before leaving because this usually happens in the morning.

The only thing that has been different for us is that we went out of town this weekend and for the first time left him at a pet boarding place over the weekend - drop off Friday, pick up on Sunday. However he had peed on the carpet the day before we took him so it's not like he is doing this because he is afraid we will leave him again (or so I think, I guess I can't read his mind)

ANy suggestions or thoughts as to why he is doing this?

There are medical conditions that can cause leaky bladders which you will have to get your vet to diagnose (bladder infections, hereditary diseases etc.) which can be fixed. If he knows he is doing the wrong thing I don't reckon it would be intentional.
Some dogs also do 'excited wees' they just can't seem to control their bladder when they are excited
