I currently have a Payne 2 ton split heating and air conditioner that is about 21 years old that I am looking to upgrade. My house is about 1900 square feet, two stories with vaulted ceiling in the down stairs living room. Bedrooms are upstairs. I was told that I should install two split air/heating systems. Replace the 2 ton for the downstairs and install 3 ton 16 seer in the attic for upstairs. I live in the desert in California. Can anyone recommend a reliable unit and advise what would the cost be at the wholesale price. Thanks
