    Difference between self clean and standard clean ovens
    Hi, I'm getting a new stove and when I read descriptions I see some that says self cleaning,standard cleaning or manual clean. Can you tell me what the difference is? Thank you!

    Manual = by hand

    How does a self-cleaning oven work?

    A self clean oven has a special lining on the top, back & either side, it feels quite rough but grease & dirt doesn't stick to it. You generally have to clean the bottom of the oven though. A manual clean oven is all smooth & shiny but dirt & grease does stick to it. If you wipe it over each time you use it & while it's still warm, you won't have any problems with hygiene. Personally, I prefer manual clean ovens.
