Hi,
I am 5 weeks and 4 days pregnant and I am having some brown spotting. Its not enough that I have to use a pad, but I'm really scared. Im cramping a little, kind of like when I first start my period, just not as bad and it doesn't last as long. I went to the hospital a few nights ago for the same thing, but they said it was only from having sex. Also that my cervix was closed and everything was fine. The spotting from that went away, now its back. I keep hearing that it is normal, but it's hard to get myself to believe that!
Is anyone else going through this?

More than likely it is normal... many women will experience a bit of spotting in early pregnancy especially. Usually, as long as it remains brownish, is not a substantial amount, and you don't have severe cramping it should be fine. Of course let your doctor know if you are at all uncomfortable with how it goes.

I understand your concern as I had spotting of this type with my second son and no amount of reassurance made me feel better.
Everything turned out fine and it just went away after a few days.
