    How often are hpt's wrong?
I did a home pregnancy test on a whim this evening because my breasts had been aching all day. I've done a few in the past few months as I've been trying to get pregnant for a while now. Obviously, they were all negative.

This is the first time I've experienced any "symptoms", and the pregnancy test read 'Pregnant 1-2'. I'm trying not to get my hopes up or get too excited, but am wondering how reliable home pregnancy tests usually are? Is it possible it's told me the wrong info. I need to know so as not to build myself for a fall!

Pregnancy tests usually give false negative results rather than false positives. It is also important that you take the test using first morning urine as this is when the concentration of the pregnancy hormone (hcg) is highest.

Is it worth buying another home pregnancy test for the morning? Or should I make an early emergency appt with my GP?

There's no reason for an emergency appointment. Pregnancy isn't an emergency, LOL

Buy a new one and in the meantime treat yourself as if you are pregnant.
