We are starting a new construction cleaning business. I am asking some builders whom I know what they are paying, but would like to see if anyone can give me an idea of what the going rate is in my area. An unbias opinion.

Actually you may have hit on probably one of the best methods of researching your pricing... I would ask as many as you can and get an average, don't just ask a 2 or 3 and assume that this is an average ask many more. This will put you finger on the current 'pulse' also as the economy has effected pricing, so you want to be current and competitive.

I might add that you should get a 'sign off' sheet signed by the contractor when you are finished as things can get 'messy' if someone dirties it after you have cleaned it.
