Hi while using my advent 7115 I heard my son crying from another room with that I closed the laptop lid until it clicked shut. Now when I opened the lid the padlock light came on I've tried taking the battery off but nothing comes on the screen it is still powering up but somehow I've locked it pleeeeeease help.

Try pressing the function key + f11 together, or one time individually, then together again.

Thanks for reply but I've just found out the wife spilled coffee on it thanks anyway

If it's only the keyboard that's messed up, you can remove the keys carefully and clean the sticking keys.
I had to do that a few times, esp with the spacebar.

I have a advent too but how do I get my keys back on the fricken laptop lol, missing like 8 keys lol thanks x
