1. Sure he is not married
2. he only wanted to have sex and now he is moving on
3. he was not ready to have sex since past relationship and is feeling guilty and does not know what to say
4. it was not as good for him as for you and he lost interest
5. He has fear of commitment and does not know what to do know

Sadly you found out the hard way what his intentions were. Next time be a little smarter and be more carefeul with decisions.
