Exhaust pipe on Goodman GMPN furnace.
    Hi all.

I'm trying to find out if the connection, for the exhausting vent pipe, should be glued where it connects to the drain trap assembly that is connected to the combustion air blower?

I have placed a link below, to the manual, so you can see the area in question. Look on page 22 (Drain Connections Section) at either example. The open reducer type fitting that you see, on the outside of the cabinet and with a drain hose off the bottom of it, is where either a 2" or 3" vent pipe is to fit. My question, "Should this connection be glued"?

    Thanks

Connection in illustration should be cleaned/primed and solvent welded (ok, glued) to assure no leakage of combustion products and/or condensate. If yours isn't, the installation wasn't inspected very well, if at all.
