Pool pump filter clamp won't fit!
Ok, I cleaned out my grids on my pool filter. When I want to put the filter back together, I'm unable to put the clamp back on. When I have done it, it takes two people to put it back. One to put the clamp on and hold it while the other person will screw it the tension nut. Now, we can't do it. Not enough tread or I'm not wrapping the clamp tight enough! Is there an easier way to do this? I don't want to pay someone 80 dollars just to come out and watch him put in easily. There's got to be an easier way to do this!

With the clamp removed try to bend it into a tighter circle, right now it is all sprung open and it doesn't need to be that way. How long is your tightening bolt?

Its about two inches this including the tension spring. I've seen one guy use a rubber mallet to get it on, but when I tried it, no luck.

Were you able to bend the collar into a tighter circle?
