    Asbestose exposure
I redid my basement, and tore down some asbestose board, the type used on the return vents for the heater. I think it is called asbestose insulation board. It appeared thin white and hard and was in good shape. I replaced it with 6 inch metat ducts ,Now I know but at the time I did not wet down the board and just tore down about 10 feet of this stuff bagged it and tossed it out.I was wondering how worried I should be about the exposure to the asbestose. I was reading up on asbestose and now an very worried . I know there is nothing I can do now but if anyone has a few words of good news or advice. I had done this work when I was about 23, now I'm 45. I has watching TV and there was a ad about mesophelia from exposure to asbestose, now this is what has me paranoid.
    Thank You
    Rob

It is very likely that your exposure, this one time, is not enough to cause harm.

Here are the exposure limits per osha:

Here are some expert opinions with different views on the risks. Many people who have died from asbestos diseases either had prolonged exposure or were heavy smokers along with significant asbestos exposure.
