I am a mother of 2 boys ages 6 and 17 months, my husband left me and the kids 7 weeks ago. I have received no money from him to support the kids and he rarely calls to talk to our oldest. I would like to know if this is abandoment and if so how do I go about filing charges against him.

He really does not owe you the money till a child support order is issued. ( or alimony)

So how long ago did you hire an attorney and have you filed for child support in court yet.
