    Connection to the internet
Since about a month, I am having the problem of lost connection to the internet. If I leave the computer idle for 10/15 minutes, I can't connect to the internet. I have a DSL Connection. I have configured my ethernet modem and released ip address to no avail. All lights on modem are burning, no apparent error message is displayed but there is no connection to the net. After running connection diagnosis by Internet Explorer it connects to internet again to automatically disconnect as soon as I stop for sometime. I am having XP Professional with SP 3.
There is no fault on either cable or electric connection, in fact no fault is shown on the computer while this is happening. I have free AVG anti virus installed and that also does not show any spyware or worm. Can someone help? Thanks..

I have vista, so I may be barking up a wrong tree, but I would check and see how long your "sleep" option is set to kick in. Mine, for example will put the computer to "sleep", after 20 minutes has passed. That might shut off your connection. One possible way around this is to open a streaming site, like an internet radio station, or just re-adjust your settings so that the takes longer to go to sleep.
