    Daschund shedding
Hope someone has some ideas. My 7 month little doxie ((Bratwurst) is shedding like crazy. We have him on good food. He does not have fleas. No skin problems. Does not itch a lot at all. Every time I pet him or pick him up his hair is all over me. Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Vallaro

I have a 6 month old little daschund puppy and she also sheds quite abit as well. When I pick her up her hair is all over my clothes. I had an adult doxie as well in south africa and she shed too. Maybe it's the change in seasons? I know I didn't quite give you some advice.. just wanted to let you know that my doxie sheds too!

Mine sheds some as well. I find the best solution is regular brushing, which she has learned to love. She also likes to sit under the shower spray. I don't use puppy shampoo too often though, because I find her skin gets dried out.

I just came across this question, two years later, but if you go to pets mart, they have an oil that you can add to the food to help with excessive shedding. I used it in my dog and it actually worked. I saw major results within the first week. Also, you shoud brush your weenie dog everyday
