New dryer motor, shutting off after 8 seconds.
I have a kenmore 90 series electric clothes dryer. I moved it upstairs from the basement, and once plugged in it made a louder (electric, not timer) buzzing sound, and shut off after 5 to 10 seconds. It turns on again in a minute of so, usually if I unplug it and plug it back in. I tore the dryer apart, cleaned everything, replaced a roller and put a new motor in it, and still, sound and shut off. I have ran the motor by itself, with no drum. Nothing seems to be catching, and it turns smoothly. The motor did feel hot after running it on it's own, and I did smell a hot smell. I'm baffled, and no one seems to know more than, "sounds like you need a new motor."
    Did that.
I checked all of the connections... is there something I should be looking for? Help!!

You better check you power source to be sure it is 220/240 volts and that the outlet and plug are wired correctly.
