    Filing with no taxable income?
Hi, Does anyone know if there is a separate form for filing taxes with no taxable income/no refund? I found out I don't have to file taxes this year because I'm on SSDI and my taxable income does not meet the tax threshold for single according to the formula... but I am told I should file "no taxable income/no refund" to qualify for the rebate, if there is one this year. Does that sound right? If so, Anyone know if there is a separate (more user friendly) form that would work for this? Or is it just wishful thinking? I found a paragragh on the IRS websites that mentions about it, but can't seem to find anything more.

Thanks for any help or links you provide.

Clarifying to anyone that might still see this, The 1040EZ has no line for SSDI, as the 1040, 1040A does. Didn't know if I can just use the EZ one anyway... also if there is a supplemental that would explain filing with no taxable income.

Pick up a tax booklet for Form 1040A.

There are supposed to be instructions for how person like you, with no taxable income, can submit a tax return to qualify for the Bush Economic Stimulus Rebate for 2007 or the Recovery Rebate Credit for 2008.
