My checking acct was garnished in regards to a judgement but I haven't received papers on the amount or anything.
Is a checking garnishment occur once a month. Is there a limit they can take?
Thanks

Welcome to AMHD. My guess is that the creditor has all of your money, unless you have some sort of exemption (social security proceeds, spouse's funds, etc.). How did you learn of the garnishment? I believe you should receive a copy of a summons or affidavit of garnishment from the creditor, unless it does not have your correct address.
The judgement holder need only present legal documents to the bank not you.
Depending on the wording of the attachment and the laws where you live, they may have to refile each time or it could cover any funds deposited in the future. They are onloy limited to the amount of the judgement.
