Get me back on track pleeease!
About 4 years ago I was really big into working out, running, all of it. I was always up for anything active & I looked & felt great! I was in the size I was most comfortable in. I was also single at the time. Im in a good healthy relationship now, and we are getting married April 18th. The thing is, he doesn't work out as much as I always enjoyed. He doesn't like any veggies or anything really that healthy for that matter. He cooks amazingly though! But not always the healthiest choices (sometimes, but not always). Anyway, I can't blame him for why Im not active the way I used to be. Is it because Im getting older now? Im only 27, but I just feel like lately every time I try to get back on track w/my diet & fitness, I do good for like two weeks & then fall off track again. I know I shouldn't be drinking wine either, when I do I completely throw off my diet because I get so hungry! I work crazy hours too. Im a dispatcher, so I work 12 hour shifts, two days on dayshift (645am until 645pm) and then two days off & then two or three days night shift (645pm until 645am). So I mean it's a constant change back & forth for me. I really want to get back on track again, to have the body I once was sooo proud of! Where did all my motivated, determination go? Is it because Im in a serious loving relationship now that Im totally comfortable in? Even if that's the case, I want to get my body back! I need help getting back on track & STAYING on track! Please any advice, tips, anything would be very helpful! I used to be that inspiration to everyone around me, now Im asking for some inspiration. Please!

Some people do find they slack off when they get into a comfortable relationship, and even though it is a good thing, an upcoming wedding can be stressful... that can throw your game off as well. But, if you want to get back into it, that is what you simply have to do... get back into it! It will take a good number of weeks for it to become habit, to where you will actually miss it if you skip a day or two.

Your work hours and his cooking set you up for not always making the best choices in being active and eating well, but don't let those become excuses. Work around them and with them. Cook together with your hubby-to-be so that you can start to introduce him to some more healthful choices. Try new veggies together, or show him how to make some of the old standards... maybe he will find at least a few he likes. See if he will at least go for occasional walks or bike rides with you. Find an activity you both might like to try... Florida is great for outdoor activities... something like kayaking might be fun to share.
Getting him to join you at least part of the time, will be a great way to start your marriage as well.
On your own, workout with a friend sometimes, or family member... join a gym or the Y if you think that will help. Maybe consider a dance class for the fun and exercise.
The key is just doing it... even when you may not feel like it. Set some small goals... working out for 4 weeks, then reward yourself with a massage or something. Then set another goal... and so on.
Besides, think about how great you want to look for your wedding... :)

Thank you Doula, I appreciate the advice. You're right. Actually I get the feeling that if I stay on track that my fiancé will want to follow & do the same, it was like that for like two weeks before, we were doing so well. But one thing I know for sure, I need to cut out the wine. Whenever I drink wine it seems to distract me from my diet & I screw it up. Anyway, Im going to do my absolute best to get back on track March 1st.. that's my deadline of bad eating & lack of exercise. It time I start taking control...
