    John Deere snowblower making noise
I have an older john deere 826 snowblower that was running great all season until a couple weeks ago. It starts and runs fine but after blowing snow for a few minutes it starts making a terrible grinding/vibration sound. It will still throw snow fine but it sounds terrible. This only happens when the auger is engaged, any ideas?

    Thanks much

Bearing May be going on the auger shaft. Or shaft mount in sides of auger shaft has problems.

When the bearing heats up it creates friction and starts to grind. Could also be pulley bearings.

I would try WD 40 on all shaft/bearing points and see if that makes a difference. If it does then a bearing is lacking grease.

Some may be sealed and hard to lube.

Check chain alignment to auger if you have one too
